The Grand Prairie Genealogical Society meets on the first Thursday of every month. There is a meet and greet session with refreshments  from 6:30pm until 7pm. The Program begins at 7pm and there is a business meeting of the society held after the Program is finished.

The Programs are on a wide variety of subjects related to genealogy including how to go online and do genealogical research.

The next Grand Prairie Genealogical Society meeting is Thursday, October 2, 2008. Our October speaker will be the President of the Texas State Genealogical Society, speaking on the use of DNA in genealogical research.

The Grand Prairie Memorial Library is located at 901 Conover Drive, two blocks south of Jefferson Street and Carrier Parkway.
